I have always been fascinated by Marie-Antoinette and her fate. When it was time to redo the "home-woven" Larsson, which was a tribute to my in-laws from Dalarna, I turned to another female figure from history. The Petit Trianon was Marie-Antoinette's pleasure palace on the grounds of Versailles. Here she could dress like a simple shepherdess and just enjoy life. There were rumors of hedonism and impropriety in the strange little village she built. My beautiful French fabrics really came into their own in this room. Karin has painted the amazing pattern on the floor and the Bukowski finds came in handy, as always. A room to fall in love with!
