Birthday parties

It's the middle of the night and I've just come home from Boman's after setting the table and preparing for tomorrow's birthday dinner. Oh how I enjoy making something beautiful! It's like a drug.

The dinner will take place in Crimson (a typical punch porch in Trosa's way). The entire porch is painted from floor to ceiling in a beautiful red color, hence the name. We have set the table with the super fine napkins we import from France (Le Jacquard Francais) and thin, thin crystal glasses that do justice to the good wines. The best part is the fabulous flower arrangements.

The birthday girl knows what she wants and has good taste so you have to be on your toes.
It suits me perfectly! Women who know what they want is my tune.

When my daughter Amanda turned 30, we made dramatic big flower arrangements that would make the guests think of the Belle Epoque.
Our florist Jenny created amazing tall arrangements. Then we made the pedestals from borrowed feet, broomsticks that we painted black and plastic swaps. Now I have had proper pedestals made and the result is smashing.

In a moment of weakness I tried to arrange the flowers for tomorrow's party myself, it was a disaster. Thankfully, Jenny came to my rescue and the result was insanely beautiful.

A perfect restaurant experience includes pleasure for all the senses. Food, service, environment, music - everything has to be right for it to feel really good. At least in my opinion. We often talk about this at Bomans. The importance of coming full circle.
Tomorrow (and every other day) it will come together!
