Amanda Boman

Amanda Boman is my daughter. Today she is an adult and this is the fourth painting of her on this wall. She was only 14 years old when the first one was done. Many years ago when I was in Prada's flagship store on Broadway in NYC, they had giant paintings of faces from floor to ceiling. That's what I want to do in one of our newly built hotel rooms, I thought. Our sweet daughter Amanda was the obvious choice. The very first painting was painted over after a few years, purely by mistake and through language confusion. Thankfully, my sister-in-law Karin is fast as hell and was able to paint a new portrait between Christmas and New Year, when we were closed for a few days. The fabrics are still the ones I bought at Mood Fabrics many years ago. Both Paris and NYC are places I travel to buy fabrics. That way I have fabrics that you can't find in any other hotel.
