I have always been fascinated by Marie-Antoinette and her destiny. The Petit Trianon was Marie-Antoinette's romantic palace on the grounds of Versailles.
It was a gift of love from her husband Louis XVI. Here she could dress like a simple shepherdess and just enjoy life with her children and friends. Marie-Antoinette was keen to escape court life and created a small village near the Petit Trianon, the Hameau de la reine (Queen's Village).
My beautiful French fabrics really came into their own. Karin painted the amazing pattern on the floor based on one of the fabric patterns. The Bukowski finds came in handy, as always.
A perfect room for a romantic weekend for two!
