WHAT IS A PERSONAL DATA AND WHAT IS A PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA?
Personal data is any kind of information that can be directly or indirectly attributed to a physical person. Encrypted data and various types of electronic identities (eg IP numbers) are personal data if they can be linked to natural persons.
Processing of personal data is all that happens with the personal data. Examples of common treatments are collection, registration, organization, structuring, storage, processing, transfer and deletion.
In connection with a guest ordering or using a service provided by Bomans, Bomans collects certain personal information about you as a guest. We collect personal information that our guests provide on our website, by telephone or e-mail and which we obtain through automatic transfers to our booking system via XML links. This includes information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other contact details.We may also record information about our guests’ wishes (for example, what type of room is desired or similar).
Your personal data is stored in our customer database. The database is regularly cleaned of outdated information or information that is no longer needed for us to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer. However, in order to offer you a high level of service, and to be able to communicate with you about relevant offers and promotions, we may save your information for up to five years from your last stay with us. If you subscribe to Boman’s newsletter, your personal data will be saved until you cancel your subscription, provided that no new stay occurs during that time.
To the extent that Bomans is required by law or authority to store data for a longer period than stated above, the data is stored accordingly.
Bomans uses personal information to:
Administer, provide, develop and maintain the services we provide.
Process guest bookings and orders for the services.
Contact guests via eg telephone or email to provide information that connects to the booking before, during and after the stay.
Facilitate future bookings of services.
Inform our guests about offers and promotions.
Analyze statistics and user behavior regarding our services.
Increase guests’ benefit and experience of Boman’s services.
Bomans processes personal data provided on the legal basis that it is necessary to fulfill the parties’ agreements on hotel stays. Bomans is further entitled to process the guest’s address and other contact information for marketing purposes based on a balance of interests, where Bomans has not so long as the guest objected to the treatment, considering that its interest in marketing its products and services outweighs the guest’s privacy interest.
If Bomans sells, reorganizes or otherwise transfers all or part of our business, guests’ personal data may be transferred at the same time.
WHICH BOMANS SHARE THE DATA WITH
Bomans may disclose personal information to third parties, such as e.g. police or other authority, whether it involves the investigation of crime or if Bomans is otherwise obliged to disclose such information with the support of law or authority decisions.
Bomans may also disclose personal information to the subcontractors used by Bomans to market their services. Such subcontractors process personal data only on Boman’s behalf and in accordance with Boman’s instructions. Subcontractors have no right to use them in any way other than following their mission for Bomans.
On the Bomans website there may be links to other websites that are not controlled by Bomans. Bomans is not responsible for the content of the linked web pages and the processing of personal data which may be made by the owners or operators of linked web pages.
You also have the right to make complaints regarding Boman’s handling of personal data to the Data Inspectorate.
